The Great British Sewing Bee – Series 12 Application Form

We are looking for more talented home sewers to take part in Series 12 of The Great British Sewing Bee.

APPLICATION TIPS

Here are some tips on how to fill out the application form:

• First, read the Rules of Entry to ensure that you are eligible to apply.
• You don’t have to complete the application all at once. You can return to it at any point by following the link in the email we will send you and logging in. Remember to hit SAVE to save your answers as you go.
• If you are completing this application on behalf of someone else, you must obtain their permission prior to submitting the application and all permissions and consents contained within the application must be given by the applicant themselves.
• You can only apply once to each series of the programme and therefore must only set up one log in. If we consider that you have sent us more than one application (per series of the programme), Love Productions may decide not to consider you to take part in the programme.
• The closing date for applications is 8pm on Wednesday 14th May 2025 (although please note that we may change this date). Fill out your application form sooner rather than later. Please do not leave it until the closing date.
• Audition spaces are limited and we cannot guarantee you will be invited to an audition or, if we are holding live auditions, that you will be invited to the audition location nearest to where you live. The sooner you complete your application, the better.
• We’re looking for people with a real passion for sewing. Don’t worry if you’re not a great writer, just tell us as much as you can about you and your sewing ability. We realise there are many different types of sewer so we want to hear about what you’re good at, but also what you’re not so good at and why. This will give us a clearer idea of what kind of sewer you are.
• We want to see your sewing! Please include a range of AT LEAST 5 photos of different garments to show off your skills. Please ensure your photographs are well-lit and close-ups of any details are also very useful.
• Please include a recent photograph of yourself. 
• You will also have the option to upload a video clip of yourself of up to 1 minute.
• When selecting applicants for the Programme, Love Productions will, amongst other factors, take into account: skill, enthusiasm, drive and love of sewing. We are looking for a diverse range of lively characters that are comfortable being filmed. Initial selection will be based on the application forms and telephone interviews. In addition, we may (but may not) invite shortlisted applicants to attend an interview at our discretion. Auditions will either take place remotely or in person.
• Only people who have made it to the next round will be contacted by a member of the production team. Due to the large number of applications we receive, we are sadly unable to give individual feedback or deal with individual queries. If you have not heard from us by 27th June 2025, then unfortunately your application has not been successful.
